Fitness Program


The Jesse "The Law" Torres Boxing Club, with support from the Fox Valley Park District, offers free fitness training to the youth and residents of Aurora, IL. and surrounding areas. We provide a variety of fitness equipment designed to improve your cardio and physical conditioning, as well as your boxing skills.

Zach Seaton
Zack is a 15 year old freshman at Oswego High School, and has been a member at Boxing Club for 1 year. During this time he worked out at the gym 4 times a week doing a "boxers workout", and lost 70 pounds! "The program has taught me to be a positive person, and work hard at what I want. My advice to anyone considering joining the boxing gym is to do it, because it could change your life in a positive way". Zack's ambition is to attend culinary arts school and become a chef while being a boxer on the side.

Cynthia Hernandez
Cynthia has been with the Boxing Club since 2005. Since starting the gym she has lost over 85 pounds, and once she dropped below 230 pounds she began training for fights. "Boxing is a difficult sport because its all about how strong you are mentally. If you think you can't, your right. Having confidence in yourself will determine how well you do." As a woman boxer, there are many barriers that must be broken. "There aren't many women that compete, and by showing that it can, and has been done, I hope to inspire other women to enter this sport.

Typical Circuit
Training Routine

  • 10-15 minute stationary bike
  • 10-15 minutes of jumping rope
  • 3-4 minute rounds of "tire bashing"
  • 2 timed rounds on a heavy bag
  • Ending with a personal, 1-on-1 training session with Coach Jesse, or Coach Octivio on the boxing pads
